Alternative networking of telecommunication equipment via data lines
The telephony via data networks is a new alternative to the traditional
fixed network or mobile network to transfer voice and data between
two contact partners.
LITI (LAN to ISDN Tunneling Interface) is an adapter which transfers
up to 30 connections on an ISDN primary multiplex interface via
Ethernet LAN / WAN to another LITI (ISDN-Bridge). Within the existing
data networks, LITI provides a fast and cost-effective replacement
of hitherto used leased lines and/or cable connections.
LITI must be looped as "pair" in a S0 or S2M-connection
between two telecommunication equipment. Every LITI provides a S2M-
and/or two S0-ports and a LAN interface.
The two devices within a connection are completely transparent to
the two S0/S2M interfaces. Therefore, the useable and the signaling
channels remain untouched.
Total delay time
The total delay time through LITI (without router, switches,
LAN-cable paths) is less than 20 ms. Therefore, the talk is not
subjectively disturbed by this delay. The total delay time is
calculated from approx. 10 ms processing time plus defined buffer
time. The buffer time can be adjusted in wide areas to balance
the jitter.
Bandwidth
The required bandwidth for LITI.3000(S2M) is 4.4 Mbit/s; in
idle run approx. 0.7 Mbit/s.
The required bandwidth for LITI.100 is 0.160 Mbit/s, in idle run
< 10 kbit/s

Security features
The device has no ISDN-access to the LAN outside the ISDN-bridging.
Different passwords enable a secure access to the device. A history-memory
monitors the total functions. The "download-recovery"
is stored by the existing program as long as a new valid program
is saved successfully.

es sich um nurmehr eine einzige 19 Zoll 1HE - Einheit, die per Web-Browser
angesprochen wird. Sowohl Konfiguration als auch Administration
kann man bequem vom Arbeitsplatz mit z.B. einem Internet-Explorer
durchführen. Anschließend könnten Sie gar Ihren
PC abschalten, da die Einheit selbständig arbeitet. Darüber
hinaus ist ARUTEL jetzt VoIP-fähig, so dass ggf. keine ISDN
Schnittstelle mehr benötigt wird.
